About Advanced Inspection Services Ltd
Advanced Inspection Services, LLC was founded in 2000 in Plymouth, Minnesota (a Minneapolis suburb) by two QA guys with many years of varied experience between them. In 2002 AIS merged with Productivity Quality Inc., a distributor of dimensional measurement equipment and provider of various QA-related services. The merger gave the company more flexibility and clout and a source of great equipment, and extended its capabilities beyond the confines of the lab.
In 2007, in response to our customers’ demand for even greater accuracy than we were already offering, we built a new lab at our Plymouth facility to house, among other things, a Leitz PMM-C ultra-high accuracy CMM. The PMM combined with the new lab’s extreme climate control provides sub-micron accuracy in a large measuring envelope.
One of the things that help us transcend metrology services in supporting our customers is our relationship with the Productivity Partners, a family of four closely-related companies under one large roof working together synergistically to help our customers make it right the first time.
