Our History

The first activity of our company which is established in Istanbul in 1983, has been producing plastic lids especially for the pharmaceutical industry and various accessories for the furniture industry. AKER PLASTICS, in 1998, changing its field of activity started to produce lids for the beverage industry under the brand name “AKERCAP”. Due to momentum of rapid growth caught especially between 1998 – 2005, the need to expand the professional team, and depending on this, the need for change in the management policy, and as a result, brought about the need to strengthen the corporate identity of AKER PLASTIC, which was founded as a family company. The granting of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, TS / OHSAS 18001 and ISO 22000 certificates has supported the maintainance of the momentum of the captured rapid growth, and all efforts shown to proceed in this direction. Since 2001, Aker making new investments to increase product quality has become one of the leading companies in the industry. Today AKERCAP brand is recognized with its “Quality”, “Customer Satisfaction” and “Innovation” identity.
