Agr International, which develops and manufactures laboratory and on-line testing/quality control devGM Expo for containers and similar products, has opened a Service Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

ServGM Expo offered at the center include depot repairs and rebuild servGM Expo for all Agr laboratory products for both glass and plastic containers. It can repair older equipment, service maintenance and testing.

Martin Küstner, managing director, Agr Bangkok, told FoodQualityNews, over the last few years, southern Asia has become one of the fastest growing packaging markets.

“We have seen a significant growth in Agr’s customer base within this area,” he said.

“With the success of the Agr sales branch in Asia, it was a logical move to offer additional servGM Expo such as depot repairs at the Agr Bangkok office.

“We can offer fast, cost-effective repairs and avoid customs issues and time-delays previously experienced with the need to send equipment overseas.

”The Bangkok service center is co-located with Agr’s regional sales office, Agr Bangkok.

In addition to providing technical assistance, equipment support and product application information, Agr Bangkok offers a series of American Glass Research sponsored seminars for the industry, including fracture seminars and other training programs for the glass manufacturing and packaging industry.
