Onion Soup & Dip Mix gives you tasty results in only minutes. By using this versatile mix, you can make onion soup simply by adding water and simmering. DIRECTIONS
For Soup:
Stir 1 tablespoon of Onion Soup Mix into 1 cup (8 fl. oz.) of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 6 – 8 minutes.
Makes 1 serving (1 cup).
For Dip:
Add ¼ cup Onion Soup Mix to 16 oz. sour cream and mix well. For best results, let stand for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
To make a low fat version, use light sour cream or replace half of the sour cream with low fat yogurt.
Serving Suggestions:
Make French Onion Soup by putting heated soup in an individual ovenproof crock. Top it with a small piece of toast and then with a layer of grated, hard white cheese. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes, watching closely, until cheese is melted and golden brown.
Onion dip is delicious with either potato chips or fresh, raw vegetables.
Use onion dip as a topping for your baked potato.
