Enerquip is now offering a new line of bayonet heaters. These heaters are easy to install and don’t take up any extra space. As immersion heaters, they are inserted directly into the liquid, resulting in nearly 100 percent energy efficiency. Since they protrude inside the tank holding the liquid and are fastened to the tank itself, the only equipment needed to help in the installation of the heater is a utility hookup, with no additional piping for an external product loop.

Bayonet style tank heaters are inserted from the side of the tank. They are made of a tube sheet, tube bundle and a bonnet. Customers like using bayonet heaters because they can be easily removed for cleaning and inspection. Pre-existing flanges and manways on the tank are great for installation, eliminating the need to retrofit a tank or purchase a new one.
