Finer V™ 1300 / 1800 / 2500

The fully automatic Bühler refiner has been designed for processing a large diversity of product recipes of varying plasticity and fineness properties. It enables a wide range of chocolate, filling, and coating masses to be refined to 10 to 60 microns. Thanks to its stable intake system and floating rolls, the five-roll refiner allows size reduction with a very narrow particle size distribution and simultaneous homogenizing and flavoring of the product. The Finer V™ is available with three roll lengths: 1300, 1800, and 2500 mm.Wide variety of recipes through flexible selection of settings.
The variable speed of the second roll allows the Finer V™ to process masses of widely varying plasticity values. The intake gap is always parallel, which results in a uniform fineness distribution across the entire roll length. Application of the online fineness measurement device FineSens™ allows the end fineness to be permanently monitored and to be maintained constant by feedback to the drive speed of the second roll. This guarantees a uniform end fineness within narrow limits even in the presence of fluctuations of the incoming product.

Consistent, reproducible fineness-to-throughput characteristic.
The high-precision, reproducible, and automatically controlled intake gap is a precondition for achieving top end product quality. Thanks to the floating rolls and the neat removal of the product film by scraping it off the fifth roll, the product is optimally transferred. This ensures that the maximum throughput of up to 4.2 t/h is consistently achieved for a given fineness. Thanks to controlled roll cooling, this is also possible with temperature-sensitive products.

The roller speeds and the differential roller speeds, which are matched to the specific production process and masses, and the useful utilizable roll length enable the Finer V™ to be applied for flexible small production runs as well as for large-scale production requiring high throughput capacities.

Bühler centrifugally cast rolls have an extremely hard surface, which guarantees very high wear resistance. Their uniformly distributed hardness allows these rolls to be reground several times.
